We Want Your Input! – Bar Association Submissions To The Law Society

Dear Colleagues,

In tandem with the survey the Law Society has asked practitioners to complete by 2 May 2023, the Law Society has also requested submissions from Bar Associations by 10 May 2023. The GSBA intends to make submissions on behalf of its Members. Submissions will take the below format. We would be grateful for your input. Please send your responses on any of the below to info@gsba.ie by close of business on Friday 5 May 2023.

Format of Submissions

• Challenges & Opportunities facing the Profession
  • What will be the biggest challenges & opportunities facing Members in the next five years?
  • What role can the Law Society play in helping tackle these issues?
• Delivering for members
  • In what ways could the Law Society better serve the needs of Members? (Please consider areas of focus for the Society, activities, services, and member benefits.)
• Engagement
  • What are the top 3 things the Law Society of Ireland must deliver to better engage your Members over the next 5 years?

• Working Relationships
  • Describe the ideal working relationship between your Bar Association and the Law Society.
• Anything else?
