LSRA – Section 218 Public Consultation on Advertising Regulations

The LSRA has issued a consultation notice in relation to its right to make regulations in relation to the advertising of legal services, including in relation to the information that may be contained in advertisements published or caused to be published by legal practitioners in relation to legal services they provide and any areas of law to which those services relate under section 218 of the Legal Services Regulation Act 2015. (See link below).

The LSRA shall under section 218 (3) consult the professional bodies, whose members will be subject to regulations when made and such persons as it considers appropriate.

The LSRA is keen to hear the views of all persons with an interest in the issue. Interested parties are invited to send written submissions by the extended closing date of 29 February 2020.
