Circuit Court Sittings

Dear Colleagues,

As you are aware, a notice from the Courts Services was published stating that Circuit civil matters would not be proceeding for the month of March.

Following that we received word that Judge Groarke would be sitting the week of the 9th of March and 16th of March for civil matters. Please see the notice at the end of this post.

This has caused some confusion.

Please note that Judge Groarke still intends to sit for as stated in the notice. However, there will be a call over on the 9th of March for those lists to see what may be ready to proceed.

If you have a matter that is ready to proceed, and you want it to go on, please email Breda Byron at bredabyron@courts.ie to confirm same.

Civil and Family Law Circuit Court cases scheduled for week commencing
9th March 2021 and 16th March 2021 will be heard before
The Honourable Mr. Justice  Raymond Groarke at Galway Rowing Club,
10 Waterside, Galway H91 YNX9.

The only exception to this is the Pension Adjustment Orders
on 12th March.  This list will be heard in Courtroom No. 2,
Galway Courthouse commencing at 10am.  Time slots will apply.

Updated lists will be published on Courts.ie in the coming days.
On each day matters will be called over at 10:30am (Friday 10am) with practitioners only to attend at this
time and thereafter please comply with directions of the Judge.

Please adhere to Covid-19 requirements in relation to mask wearing at all times and
maintaining at 2 metre distance.
