Can you help source photographs of these Galway Solicitors?

Dear Colleagues,

The Law Society is sourcing photographs for a number of women solicitors for the Centenary Celebrations and Commemorations this year. Below is a list of Galway Solicitors for whom the Law Society are missing photographs. If you can assist in tracing photographs of any of the below, please email info@gsba.ie.

  1. Fionnguala O’Beirne, trained with Michael J. O’Beirn, Galway and was admitted to the roll on 17 October 1933.
  2. Mary Lohan (married name Delaney), trained with Henry Concannon, Tuam and entered the roll on 2 May 1934.
  3. Moira O’Sullivan, trained with Richard J. Kelly in Galway and was admitted to the roll on 15 June 1939.
  4. Brid Hogan, trained with Patrick Hogan, Loughrea and was admitted to the roll on 12 February 1940 .
  5. Eileen O’Reilly, trained with Louis O’Dea, Galway and was admitted to the roll on 16 February 1944.
  6. Anna Elizabeth Egan, trained with William J.V Comerford, Tuam and was admitted to the roll on 21 June 1945.

The exhibition of photographs and details of the first 100 women on the roll of solicitors will be a permanent exhibition at the Law Society and a version of the exhibition will also be placed in the Solicitors’ Building of the Four Courts. In addition, the exhibition will be included as part of the first opening of the Legal Year Celebrations to be held on 3 October 2023 at the Four Courts.
