Amended CPD schedule (new speaker added to 21st October seminar)

Dear Colleagues

On behalf of the GSBA, I would like to thank you all for your generous support of all of our events during 2016 to date.

You might pencil the following dates in to your diary for the second half of our 2016 CPD schedule. All of these seminars will be held in Galway Courthouse and commence at 2pm sharp.

30th September 2016 – 2 hrs General, 1 hr Management & 1 hr Regulatory (sponsored by Davys)

  •      Update on markets post Brexit, duties of employers re employee pensions – Rory Murphy & Barry Kennedy, Davys
  •      Update on Law Society Council matters – David Higgins, Connaught Rep, Law Society Council
  •      The workings of the IDA – Brendan McDonald, Solicitor, IDA

7th October 2016 – 3 hrs General

  •     Assisted Decision Making Act 2015 –  Mary Condell  solicitor – Advocacy for Older People- Sage

Friday 21st October – 3 hours General

  •    Developments in Judicial Review – Shane Caulfield BL
  •  Bullying & Harassment from a defence perspective – Shane MacSweeney, Solicitor
  • Pre-Action Protocol for clinical negligence disputes under the The Legal Services Regulation Act 2015 – Patricia McLoughlin Solicitor

28th October 2016Outsource Annual Conference  (3hrs management & 1hr)

  • this is the annual seminar organised in conjunction with Outsource – full details to follow.

We intend to hold at least a further 2 CPD seminars in November and would be obliged if you could send on your membership subscription at your earliest convenience.
