About the GSBA
The Galway Solicitor’s Bar Association is the representative organisation for Solicitors in Galway City and County. David J. Higgins Solicitor is the current president. The Association is reponsible for providing it’s members with on-going education and Continuing Professional Development “CPD” lectures. This year topics such as the controversial BER regulations and employment law have been covered in lectures by expert guest speakers.
2009 has seen many key events on the GSBA calendar. The President and Director General of the Law Society of Ireland recently visited members of the GSBA in Galway. Gerard O’Donnell solicitor from Galway was also elected to the Council of the Law Society of Ireland.
The Galway Solicitor’s Bar Association committee members are also responsible for the Annual GSBA Christmas Ball and Galway Races dinner. Up coming events can be located in the events calendar.
The Galway Solicitor’s Bar Association represents the interest’s of our members in liasing with the Law Society of Ireland, other bar associations, charities, local business associations and chambers of commerce.
